What is Osteopathy?
"Osteo" is a form of manual medicine used to treat altered health states/specific conditions/impairments/injuries and their relationship to total body function. The skilled practitioner uses a 'hands on' approach in assessment, including neuro-orthopeadic testing, in the formation of a medical diagnosis. Treatment is then based on this diagnosis and can range from subtle ligamentous balancing to more direct muscle stretching and joint mobilization.
